The food was really good. The service was good, the atmosphere was not bad. The menu prices posted here are a lower than the current prices. I had the west bank catfish and it looked small but I did not leave hungry.

Ms Theresa and Natalie Cantin (server) treated us very well. We had chicken and sausage gumbo, catfish, fried green tomatoes, fries, and the absolutely incredible Bread pudding (pictured). We were treated like family, not like a dysfunctional one, but one that is like Cheers! My deepest apologies for not including more pictures, but this testimony has to be worthy of the audience! Bon apetit, from Vicksburg!

3 lb of crawfish with a delicious buttery cajun-ey spice, for only $18-19! This is a highlight for a seafood eater like me. With plenty of water to drink (gigantic cups of water included), sufficient napkins, and no hurry to finish the meal quickly, these crawfish with potato and corn were a treat. The only reason I'm giving the food rating a 4 was that the order was also supposed to come with andouille sausage but they were out; however, the remaining food in the order was enough for a full and tasty meal anyway. This place has a typical family restaurant or diner like feel.

The food was delicious except the portions were a little small for the price. The atmosphere was great and our server was phenomenal. We enjoyed it overall and would most likely come back just because of the service!

Driving through and was craving good fried catfish. This place hit the spot. Very good catfish fried in yellow cornmeal, just like Grandma used to make. If I'm ever driving through, I'll be stopping by again.

We had the steak/shrimp and Taste of the Bayou. The gumbo was absolutely phenomenal, the red beans and rice great as well. My wife's steak was a perfect medium, the sides of green beans and baked potato salad were on point as well. Yes they are a bit short staffed but who isn't these days. Bring your patience and your appetite, this place is WELL worth the wait!

At Gumbo Pot, you are greeted not only by a menu rich in Southern charm but also by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Patrons like Alicia Bryant have noted the quality of the food and service, although some mention that the prices may differ from those advertised, a small quibble compared to the satisfaction they experienced. The West Bank catfish is a standout dish that keeps diners coming back for more, leaving them filled and content.

The real stars of the menu, as highlighted by James N. Phillips Jr., are the chicken and sausage gumbo, delicious fried green tomatoes, and the unforgettable bread pudding. James emphasized the familial atmosphere, evoking feelings of being treated like part of the family rather than just another customer. It’s these personal touches and genuine hospitality that create a unique dining experience at Gumbo Pot.

If you're a seafood lover, Tiffany Leung praises their generous serving of crawfish, spiced just right. Priced impressively at around $18-19 for three pounds, paired with scrumptious potatoes and corn, it’s hard to overlook this offering. While she mentioned a slight disappointment about the absence of andouille sausage, the overall feast remains hearty and gratifying, further emphasizing the relaxed, family-diner vibe.

Even Chris Homer couldn’t resist the allure of the fried catfish, raving about how it hits all the right notes reminiscent of grandma's kitchen.
